Detailed Mechanical is a locally owned mobile mechanical business servicing Flagstone and surrounding Brisbane areas. It was founded by fully qualified light vehicle mechanic Matthew Stimson around a straightforward commitment: to provide honest, thorough mechanical work without cutting corners.
Matthew's passion for vehicles and all things mechanical began at a young age and led him to complete his trade in light vehicle mechanics. With approximately 11 years of experience in the automotive industry, he has developed extensive practical knowledge across vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics.
Working across different environments, Matthew saw firsthand the importance of honest advice, clear communication and consistently high-quality workmanship. That is what inspired him to establish Detailed Mechanical and offer customers a more convenient, transparent and personal mechanical service.

I couldn't recommend Detail Mechanical highly enough. From the first contact, the service was professional, friendly and reliable. It's so reassuring to deal with a mechanic who takes the time to explain what needs to be done, gives honest advice and doesn't try to sell you work that isn't necessary. Or more importantly does the work you pay for. It was extremely convenient having a qualified mechanic come to you, this was fantastic. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I would like to give a big thankyou to Matt from Detailed Mechanical . He came this morning to do a service on our car. I must say what a great bloke with a good degree of knowledge. He went above and beyond when our car decided to have a Hissy Fit. Outstanding work on my Toyota Hilux highly recommended. I recently had Detailed mechanical work on my heavily modified Hilux. They absolutely nailed the job. From the moment I dropped it off, the team showed real expertise and care with a vehicle that isn’t exactly standard. They handled all the extras professionally, paid close attention to every detail, and completed the work to a high standard without any issues or cut corners. Communication was clear throughout, I didn’t even have to leave my house. The finished result looks and feels fantastic. It’s obvious they take pride in their work. Which areas do you cover?
We are available across Flagstone, Jimboomba, Greenbank, Springfield, Park Ridge, Yarrabilba, Logan Village and surrounding Logan areas. Travel up to 20 km from Flagstone is included; 21 to 40 km adds $30, 41 to 60 km adds $60, and anything further is quoted before we confirm.
Is my booking confirmed when I submit the form?
Not yet. Your request is reviewed first. We confirm availability, price and attendance with you by phone, SMS or email, and only then is the booking locked in.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No separate call-out fee. Travel and attendance are built into the diagnostic attendance or the fixed quote you approve.
Will you do extra work without asking?
Never. If we find something else, we explain it, quote it and wait for your approval. Declined work is noted on your service record so you can plan for it.
What do I need to provide on the day?
A reasonably level, hard surface with room to work and decent light, the keys, and an adult contactable during the appointment. A driveway, carport or work car park is ideal.
Do you do roadworthy certificates, tyres or air-conditioning regas?
No. We do not provide Queensland safety certificates, tyre fitting, wheel alignments or air-conditioning regassing. We will happily tell you who to see for those.
Can you come after hours or in an emergency?
After-hours and urgent assistance is subject to availability, from $225 depending on location, travel, timing and the work required. We do not offer towing or recovery.
How do I pay?
Payment is due when the approved work is completed unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. You will receive an itemised invoice and a service record.
